Nathanael Cedar Hoy-Pin Groseclose

Nathanael Cedar Hoy-Pin Groseclose, beloved son, brother, and grandson, went into the arms of Jesus at his home on October 7, 2024. Born on December 29, 2008 in Buncombe County, he brought joy and light to all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Nathanael put his trust in JESUS Christ at a young age and was baptized at the age of nine. He was a compassionate and caring individual with a tender heart for younger children, always showing kindness and understanding. He attended Nesbitt Discovery Academy, where he made lasting friendships and memories. Nathanael possessed a remarkable engineering mind and was very good at math, demonstrating a natural talent for building and creating. He found joy in hobbies like mountain biking and electric longboarding, allowing him to explore the great outdoors while embracing his love for adventure. He loved cats, fish, and his pet, a leopard gecko.  Nathanael was very musical and enjoyed stringed instruments of all kinds.

Those left to cherish his memory include his devoted parents, Ray and Lucie Groseclose, his loving sister, Jedidah Groseclose, his maternal grandmother, Sui Lin Cheng, and his paternal grandparents, Steven and Anna-Belle Groseclose. Nathanael's legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A visitation will be held on Monday, October 14, 2024, from 1:15 PM to 2:15 PM at West Family Funeral Services, located at 17 Merrimon Ave, Weaverville, NC, 28787. The funeral service will follow at 2:30 PM, officiated by Pastors Jim Dykes and Sullivan Brady. Burial will follow at Clark's Chapel Cemetery in Weaverville. 

Nathanael Cedar Hoy-Pin Groseclose will forever be remembered for his gentle spirit, creativity, and the warmth he brought to those around him. He has left an indelible mark on the lives of his family and friends, and he will be profoundly missed.
