NELLIE HOYLE RIDDLE WEAVERVILLE - Nellie Hoyle Riddle, age 95, of Weaverville died Friday, April 24, 2015 at her home. Mrs. Riddle was born May 17, 1919 in Madison County and was a resident of Buncombe County for most of her life. She was a homemaker, loved her family and enjoyed gardening. Mrs. Riddle was a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church. A daughter of the late Andrew and Rachel Fender Hoyle, she was also preceded in death by her husband Grady Riddle who died in 1996, her son Auvery Riddle and grandson Steven Waldrop. Surviving are her daughters, Pauline Langworthy of Melbourne, FL, Dot Clemmons of St. Petersburg, FL and Nadine Waldrop of Leicester; sons, Clayton Riddle and wife Debra of Arden, Charles Riddle and wife Cholea of Erwin, TN, Hayes Riddle and wife Pauline of Chucky, TN, Casey Riddle and wife Rita and Hugh Riddle and wife Denise all of Weaverville; 18 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 27, 2015 in Locust Grove Baptist Church, 305 Locust Grove Road, Weaverville with Rev.'s Ben Whitmire and Walter Ponder officiating. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, at West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville. At other times, the family will be at the residence. Flowers are welcome.
