NINA SPRINKLE COLE
WEAVERVILLE – Nina Sprinkle Cole, age 92, of the Flat Creek Community died Sunday, August 28, 2016.
Mrs. Cole was born May 13, 1924 in Buncombe County, where she had lived all of her life. She was a talented piano and accordion player, an avid gardener, and also made custom clothing.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Wig Tweed Sprinkle and Bess Gosnell Sprinkle; husband, James W. Cole, who died in 2008; son, James W. Cole, Jr.; daughter, Janis Lin Cole; brother, Hugh Sprinkle; and sister, Meece Edmonds.
Surviving are her daughters, Norma C. Marler and husband Lee, Cynthia Davis and husband Mark; daughter in law, Robin Cole; grandchildren, James Scott Marler, Lee Russell Marler, Melanie Altland and husband Brent, Lisa Besler and husband Doug, Cyann Davis; great grandchildren, B.J., Cole, Kayla, Molly and Pierce.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, September 2, 2016 in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory with Reverend Woody Dillingham officiating.
The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday at West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville.
