Nina Fisher Stroupe

NINA FISHER STROUPE WEAVERVILLE - Nina Fisher Stroupe, age 73 of Weaverville went home to be with her Savior on Wednesday, December 2, 2015. Mrs. Stroupe was born May 5, 1942 in Madison County and was a daughter of the late Jonah and Nannie Fortner Fisher. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by brother, James Fisher. Nina was loved and cared for by her husband of 54 years, Daniel Stroupe. She dearly loved her grandchildren and freely gave her love to all. Surviving in addition to her husband are her daughters, Stephanie Griffin and husband Ron of Weaverville, Carol Edwards and husband Jeff of Spruce Pine; sisters, Marie Ballard, Louise Robinson, Patti Claud and husband Roger; brother, Walter Fisher; grandchildren, Brandon Griffin and wife Holly, Whitney Griffin Craig, Todd Griffin, Noah Edwards, Isaac Edwards; great granddaughter, Lyxi; as well as many close nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, December 4, 2015, in Locust Grove Baptist Church, of which she was a member. Reverend Ben Whitmire will officiate Burial will be in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., at the church prior to the service. West Funeral Home, Weaverville is in charge of the arrangements. Flowers are acceptable and appreciated.
