Pat Wilde Maney

BARNARDSVILLE—Pat Wilde Maney, age 69, of 68 Paint Fork Rd., died Sunday, February 6, 2011. Pat was born April 9, 1941 in Buncombe County where she lived all of her life. She worked for Barnardsville Elementary School and Visiting Health Professionals. Pat's faith, bravery and strength were an inspiration to many. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard G. and Audrey Ross Wilde and daughter, Penni Jean Maney. Surviving are her husband, Ed Maney; daughters, Carol M. Rexrode and husband Ron of Winston-Salem and Diane M. Rosseter and husband Robert of Landrum, SC; sister, Linda Wilde Crowe and husband Phillip of Weaverville; brother, Terry Wilde and wife Judy of Martin, Ga.; step grandson, Shane Rexrode and wife Shayla; twin great granddaughters, Emma and Caroline; the family dog, Little Bit and several nieces and nephews. Her service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Barnardsville United Methodist Church, of which she was a member, with Rev. Beverly Colombo and Rev. David Warren officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Maney Cemetery, Barnardsville. The family will greet friends following the service. At other times they will be at the residence.
