WEAVERVILLE—Patricia "Pat" Fox Brown, age 78, of 236 N. Main Street, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 6, 2009.
Patricia was born April 25, 1930 in Buncombe County where she had lived all of her life. She formerly worked at Hadley's in Weaverville and Weaverville Drug Company. Later she was a stained glass artist for over 15 years and a member of the Dogwood Crafters Co-op in Dillsboro. Pat was the daughter of the late John Fulton and Dessie Mae Rice Fox. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Terrell N. Brown, who died in 1967 as well as son, Danny Brown; sister, Georgia Duyck and brothers, Faxton, Pender, Quinten and David Fox.
Surviving are her daughters, Terra Edmonds and husband Randy and Katie Lewis and husband John, all of Weaverville; sisters, Martha Jo Galloway, Johnnie Hollar, Betty Lou Carter and Stella Evans whom she loved as a sister, all of Weaverville; brother, Forrest Fox of Asheville; grandsons, Adam Brown and wife Allison (serving our country in the U.S. Navy stationed in Hawaii), Johnny Edmonds and fiancee, Allison Hyatt; and great grandchildren, Elijah Thomas and Job Nathaniel Brown; Malik, Hadden and Alexis Hyatt and John Lawson Edmonds. Pat was also "G.G." to Dylan Lee Guthrie.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 10, 2009 in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville with Rev. Jim McCoy officiating. Burial will be in West Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
At other times, the family will be at the home.
