Patricia Cason Menon

WEAVERVILLE—Patricia Cason Menon, age 66, died Friday, May 10, 2013. Patricia Menon was born July 4, 1946, in Queens, NY. She also resided in New Jersey and Florida prior to moving to Weaverville in 2000. She took great pride in being a devoted wife and partner to her husband, Gopi, as well as raising her children and caring for her grandchildren. Patricia had a gift for nurturing her relationships with family and friends, and always made a point of adding her special touch to every endeavor. She was deeply committed to her faith, and she and Gopi were active in Marriage Encounter and other church ministries. Patricia was the daughter of the late William and Eileen Cason, also preceding her in death was her sister, Carol Cason. Surviving are her husband of 46 years, Gopi Menon; daughters, Shirin Menon of Weaverville, and Leila Menon Elliott and husband Matt of Weaverville; sisters, June Collins of New York, Eileen Marron and Kathleen Sidirourgos both of Florida; grandchildren, Tyler Menon, Aubrie Elliott, Ryan Menon, and Addison Elliott. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2013 in St. Eugene Catholic Church with the Reverend MSGR Michael Flanagan officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Monday at West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville.
