PATRICIA BANKHEAD MORTON WEAVERVILLE - Patricia Bankhead Morton, age 64 of Weaverville died Saturday, September 19, 2015 at John F. Keever Solace Center. Mrs. Morton was born July 24, 1951 in Richland County, SC to the late Lewis Bernard and Geraldine Champion Bankhead. She was a resident of Buncombe County for the past six years. Pat loved her family and her Lord. She was a homemaker, bible teacher and storyteller. She loved animals and gardening and was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Weaverville. Surviving are her husband of 44 years Stephen Morton; daughters, Stephanie Laura Hoffer and husband Justin, Rebecca Louise Gambill and husband Chris; son, Peter Michael Morton and wife Kassie; brother, Gerald Bernard Bankhead and wife Paula; grandchildren, Max, Maggie, Willow, Boone, Stone and Siena. Her memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, September 26, 2015, in First Presbyterian Church, Weaverville, with Reverend Chris Gambill officiating.
