Patricia Ann Gibbs White

BARNARDSVILLE – Patricia Ann Gibbs White, age 76, of Barnardsville went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 16, 2023.

Patricia was born on October 27, 1947, in Buncombe County where she had lived most of her life.  She was an avid crafter and collected angels and dolls.  Patricia also loved to sing. She is the daughter of the late Robert and Frankie Fox Gibbs. She is also preceded in death by brothers, Michael Gibbs and Buddy Gibbs.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Weldon White; her daughters Kimberly Lunsford (Shane), Melissa Metcalf (Jack), Rosanne Dobbins (Mark), and Gretchan White; sisters, Rebecca Lee and Debra Barnes (Sam); brother Larry “Boy” Gibbs (Renae); eight grandchildren, Tony, Ashley, Rodney, Jordan, Brodey, Delilah, Bryce, and Raya; and seven great grandchildren, Kenzie, Kylee, Teagan, Tucker, Hoytt, Ledger, and Melina.

Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home with Rev. Shane Lunsford officiating. A private family burial will follow in the Gibbs Family Cemetery, 31 Frankie Lane, Woodfin, NC 28804.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
