PEGGY RAY LUNSFORD WEAVERVILLE - Peggy Ray Lunsford, age 73, of 47 Sugar Cove Road went to be with her Lord on Monday, December 29, 2014. Mrs. Lunsford was born October 15, 1941 in Haywood County and was a resident of Buncombe County most of her life. Peggy was a daughter of the late Ambers and Ethel Revis Ray and was also preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Carl "Junior" Lunsford; daughters, Penny L. Cook and husband Steve, and Deborah L. Hyatt and husband David; sister, Wanda Gilsdorf; grandchildren, Leslie Sullivan and husband Andrew, Heather Ramsey and husband Travis, and Lori Hyatt; three great grandchildren, Jackson, Lily and Grace Sullivan. Her graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, January 2, 2015, in Clark's Chapel Cemetery, Weaverville, with Reverend Robbie Leighton officiating. The family will receive friends 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Friday at West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville. At other times, the family will be at the residence.
