ARDEN—Peggy Rosalind Neeley Armstrong, 79, died on January 19, 2010, surrounded by her family.
One of five daughters, she was born on November 15, 1930, in Big Stone Gap, Virginia, to the late Reece and Inez Graham Neeley. Upon graduating high school, she moved to New York City, finding work in the modeling industry in bridal fashions, thus beginning a lifelong interest in both fashion and interior design. Her love of reading and writing creative fiction inspired a return to education later in life which she pursued with her customary excellence. She was a devoted wife and mother of three children.
Beautiful and kind, Peggy will forever be remembered for her indomitable strength and courage, loving devotion and wise counsel. Her quick wit, love of music and noble spirit will remain with us always.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Moore Wiles and husband Gary; daughter, Jane Armstrong; son, Gregory John Moore and wife Cindy; sister, Darlene Arnold and husband Jack; granddaughter, Tara Wiles Larscheid; grandson, Jacob Moore, and five great grandchildren.
