Peggy Ann Robinson

WOODFIN – On August 15, 2024, Peggy Ann Robinson peacefully passed away. She was born on May 25, 1950, in Buncombe County, where she spent all of her life. She was the daughter of the late Blake and Louise Brown Penland.

 In her earlier years, Peggy worked at Battery Park Cafe, leaving a lasting impression on all who frequented the establishment. She was a warm and nurturing person, having dedicated herself to being an extraordinary wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother; her kitchen a place of comfort and joy for her family.

 Peggy's memory will forever be cherished by her surviving family members: her husband of 56 years, Vernon Carl Robinson; sons, Terry Robinson and Bo Robinson (Lucy); sisters, Cathy Webster (Tony) and Debbie Lunsford; brother, Junior Penland; grandchildren, Brittany Robinson Gosnell (Hunter) and Bryan Robinson (Katie); and great-grandchildren, Evan, Alex, and Kinsley.

 Peggy’s funeral service will be held on Monday, August 19, 2024, at 2:30 p.m. in the Chapel of West Funeral Home. Rev. Ricky Honeycutt and Rev. Larry Rogers will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. on Monday prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Clark’s Chapel Cemetery.
