PERRY K. “CASEY” BRINDLEY, JR. WEAVERVILLE – Perry K. “Casey” Brindley, Jr. entered into his eternal home in heaven on July 17th, 2016. He was born June 30, 1937 in Fort Payne, Alabama to Perry K. Brindley, Sr. and Pauline Casey Eberhart. His grandparents were Jack and Maudie Casey of Fort Payne with whom he made his home until he married. He received his education at Dekalb County High School and Jacksonville State University. He was a resident of Buncombe County for the past 49 years, and after a respected career he retired from the State of North Carolina Department of Transportation. He was an active member of Woodland Hills Church for the past 25 years serving on the Deacon Ministry Team and as a Greeter. He is survived by the love of his life for 57 years, Jerrie Dial Brindley; sons, Rev. Perry K. Brindley, III and wife Della of Canton, Anthony “Tony” Lee Brindley and wife Jennifer of Kimberly, Alabama; grandsons Ricky Brindley and wife Hilary of Canton, Nathan, Brandon and Preston Brindley, all of Kimberly, Alabama; granddaughter, Shannon Brindley Wardwell and husband Greg of Fort Lee, Virginia; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Fred Eberhart of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, George Eberhart of Fort Payne, Alabama; sisters, Ellen Mitchell and Barbara Ledbetter, both of Fort Payne, Alabama; Aunt Betty Jo Goggins of Gadsden, Alabama. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 20, 2016, in Woodland Hills Church, 50 Woodland Hills Rd., Asheville, NC 28804, with his son, Reverend Perry K. Brindley, III and Pastor Bob Belford officiating. Burial will be in West Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, where the body will remain until placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
