Ralph Andrew Harwood

HICKORY– Ralph Andrew Harwood, age 89, of Hickory died Saturday, November 25, 2017. Mr. Harwood was born April 7, 1928 in Buncombe County to the late Fred and Eva Banks Harwood. He was also preceded in death by sisters, Jettie Anderson, Ruby Harwood and Becky Clark and brothers, William and Charles Harwood. Surviving are his sisters, Darlene Harwood, Pauline Fullbright and Shelby Padgett; brothers, Wade, Harold and Johnny Harwood; and nephew, Fred Harwood and wife Kathy with whom he made his home. His graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2017 in West Memorial Park with Reverend Larry Coates officiating. The family requests memorials to West Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
