Rebecca "Becky" Dillingham Banks

BARNARDSVILLE – Rebecca “Becky” Dillingham Banks, age 68, of Barnardsville went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at the Solace Center.

Becky was born on May 17, 1956, in Buncombe County where she lived all her life. She was the daughter of the late Claude and Ruth Bess Dillingham and was also preceded in death by her brother, Claude “Bud” Dillingham.

Becky worked as a clerk at the Buncombe County Courthouse for a time before joyfully becoming a homemaker and devoted caregiver for her son, mother, brother and grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who always put others before herself, finding enjoyment caring for others through her cooking. Her Christian faith always showed through her loving acts of kindness, and she attended Carson Chapel Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 46 years, Curtis Banks; son, Adam Banks and wife Samantha; sister, Kay Tweed and husband Gary; grandchildren, Liam and Noah Banks; niece, Kristen Carithers and husband William; and grand-nephew, William Cash Carithers.

Becky noted in her wishes that she wished to give a special thanks to the Barnardsville Fire Department. At her request, the family will privately gather. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Barnardsville Fire Department, 100 Dillingham Road, Barnardsville, NC 28709.
