MARS HILL - Richard Maurice "Richie" Banks, Sr. age 50, died Saturday, March 14, 2015. Richie was a native of Cambridge, Mass. and a resident of North Carolina for the past 20 years. He was the son of Helen Lucien Banks and the late Bobby Joe Banks. Surviving in addition to his mother are his children, Erika and Richard, Jr.; sisters, Joann Sicari and Janice Williams; brothers, Robert, Michael, John, James and Roscoe Banks. His service will be held Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 12:00 noon in Mars Hill Baptist Church, 67 N. Main Street, Mars Hill. Burial will follow in West Memorial Park, Weaverville.
