Richard "Ricky" Andrews Lee

WOODFIN – Richard “Ricky” Andrews Lee, age 65 of Woodfin died Saturday July 22, 2023, at his home.

Ricky was born August 12, 1957, in Buncombe County where he lived all his life. Ricky worked as a welder and fitter at Dave Steel. He had a heart of gold and was loved by his Harley Davidson motorcycle family, by his Lake friends at the Moose Lodge and his campground family at Barefoot Landing in Marion.  These groups and work friends were a big part of Ricky’s life.  He never met a stranger.

In addition to his father, Paul Lee, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Frances Banks and stepdaughter, Crystal Owens.

Surviving is his wife of 41 years Kathy O. Lee; mother, Wilma Ratcliff; daughter, Riecka Lee Franklin and husband Todd; grandchild, Rannon Lee; sister, Karen Christian and husband Glenn; stepmother, Betty Lee; brothers, David Keith Lee and wife Betty, Michael Lee, and Jeff Lee and wife Josie; along with many nieces and nephews.  He was dearly loved by all of them!  The family recognizes special friends Bobby Bishop, Dave Schomp, Phil Bishop, and David Meisenheimer.  Special thanks to Debbie Lowe, Tracy Owens, and Bobby Bishop for all their help when Ricky was brought home.

His funeral service will be held at 2:30 pm, Tuesday, July 25, 2023, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home with Reverend Sam King and Rev. Chris Owens officiating. Burial will follow in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery in Leicester.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 pm prior to the funeral.  At other times, the family will receive friends at the family home.
