ROBBIE EDITH McINTOSH METCALF
CANDLER - Robbie Edith McIntosh Metcalf, age 83, of Reeves Cove Road died Monday, November 24, 2014 at Memorial Mission Hospital.
Robbie was born in Unicoi County, Tennessee on June 10, 1931 to the late Carl Sherman and Viola Ruthie Crain McIntosh. Mrs. Metcalf was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, mother-in-law, sister-in-law and friend. She loved flowers and working in her vegetable garden. She made a great fresh apple cake. Robbie was a special lady and will be missed by all who knew her. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Dell Shelton and Effie English; three brothers, Dallas, Theodore and Clarence McIntosh; and a great granddaughter, Abigail Metcalf.
Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Jesse James Metcalf; daughters, Brenda Joann Metcalf and husband Wayne, Linda Marie Ledford and husband Eddie; six grandchildren, David Metcalf and wife Heidi, Tara Metcalf Pressley and husband Tommy, Nathan Metcalf and wife Amy, Jacob Metcalf, Eddie Ledford II and Amanda Ledford; five great grandchildren, Jacob and Nick Pressley, Ethan and Gavin Major, Marah Metcalf; two sisters, Hazel Loyd and Grace Metcalf; three brothers, Venious "Buck" McIntosh, Gerald McIntosh and Charles McIntosh.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 29, 2014, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Erwin, TN.
The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
