ROBERT DANIEL "BOB" PRICE, SR. WEAVERVILLE - Robert Daniel "Bob" Price, Sr., age 88, of Flat Creek School Rd., Weaverville passed away peacefully Monday, December 23, 2013 at the John F. Keever Solace Center in Asheville. Mr. Price was born on August 24, 1925 in Creston, NC, the eldest of thirteen children of the late Daniel Cleveland and Eula Mae Cornett Price. He was an Army veteran having served in the 82nd Airborne Division. He was the owner and operator of the Robert Price Plumbing Company from 1968 until his retirement and a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church. He was predeceased in addition to his parents by four sisters Corinne, Janice and Velma Price and Josephine Osborne, and three brothers Andy, Junior and George Price. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Bonnie Higgins Price; daughters, Judy Fisher and husband Tom, Vera Jones and husband Richard, and Tonia Price all of Weaverville; sons, Danny Price of Spruce Pine and Terry Price and wife Arlene of Weaverville; stepson, Matt Potts of Weaverville; sisters, Shirley Church, Phyllis Reece, Linda Woodard, and Elaine Carden; brother, Jack Price; eleven grandchildren, Christyn, Ryan, Michael, Rebecca, Vanessa, Robbie, Zain, Leah, Luke, Jill, and Briana and eight great grandchildren, Emma, Keira, Talon, Philicia, Jamie, Angelina, Devan, and Wyatt. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 28, 2013 in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave, Weaverville, with Reverend H.L. Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the home of Terry and Arlene Price, 265 Flat Creek Church Rd, Weaverville, NC 28787. Flowers are acceptable and appreciated.
