Robert \ E. Hanrahan

WEAVERVILLE—Robert "Bob" E. Hanrahan, Jr., age 68, of Weaverville died Tuesday, October 27, 2009. Bob was born July 20, 1941, in Denver, Colo. where he lived until 1987, and California for two years before moving to Weaverville in 1989. He was a son of the late Robert E. Hanrahan, Sr., and Marguerite Buckles Hanrahan. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Jim Hanrahan, and his father-in-law, Chester Reece. Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Martha Reece Hanrahan; sons, Kevin Hanrahan and wife Yvonne of West Asheville, Patrick Hanrahan and wife Melissa of Leicester, and Brian Hanrahan and wife Tracy of Weaverville; mother-in-law, Nina Fisher Reece of Asheville; and grandchildren, Tamara, Joshua, Bryson, Katie, Elijah, and Natalie. The funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, October 30, 2009, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Revs. John Honeycutt and Roger Boone officiating and Rev. Mike Thomas officiating at the cemetery. Burial will be in West Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
