Ronnie Eugene Phillips

WEAVERVILLE—Ronnie Eugene Phillips, age 67, of Weaverville died Wednesday, October 24, 2012. Mr. Phillips was born April 18, 1945, in Yancey County and was a resident of Buncombe County for most of his life. He retired from Carolina Flooring Co. as project estimator. He enjoyed photography and helping friends and family members with their computer problems. He was the son of the late Frank C. and Judy McIntosh Phillips. Surviving are his sisters, Patsy Gibson and husband Joe of Candler and Lucille Ward of Weaverville; nephews, Ricky Ward and wife Maxine and David Gibson and fiancee Angie; great nieces, Jennifer Ward and Tabetha Jenkins; lifelong friends, Farrell Wilson of Asheville and Kiwanna Fox of Swannanoa. His graveside service will be held at 12 noon, Saturday, October 27, 2012, in West Memorial Park with Rev. Marjory Kiess officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., Saturday at West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville. At other times, the family will be at the home of Lucille Ward, 92 Church St., Weaverville, NC 28787. Flowers are acceptable and appreciated.
