RUBY WRIGHT BAYNARD ASHEVILLE - Ruby Wright Baynard, age 80 of Baird's Cove Road died Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at John F. Keever Solace Center. Mrs. Baynard was born February 11, 1935 in Buncombe County, where she had lived all of her life. Ruby loved flowers and gardening. She was a member of Bingham Heights Baptist Church, Asheville and had worked at American Enka for 42 years. She is preceded in death by her parents; Carl Andrew Wright and Alda Mae Duncan Wright; brothers, Garland Wright and Carl Wright, Jr.; sisters, Alice Rice and Madelyn Cole. Surviving are her husband of 59 years Ted Baynard; daughter, Rosa Maynor and husband Keith; son, Dean Baynard and wife Angela all of Barnardsville; sister, Adelaide Williamson of Asheville; grandchildren, Cindy Marshall and husband Michael of Shelton Laurel, Melisa Hensley and husband Shane of Asheville, Brandon Maynor and girlfriend Amy Anders of Dandridge, TN; great grandchildren, Makayla, Kyra, Natalie, Alayna, Kylie, and Jackson. Her funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, March 29, 2015, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Reverend Nelson Ponder officiating. Burial will be in West Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the residence.
