RUBY OZELLA WARNER WOODFIN – Ruby Ozella Allen Warner, age 75, of Woodfin died Wednesday, April 26, 2017. Mrs. Warner was born August 30, 1941 in Buncombe County to the late Leonard Carmen Allen and Elda Clementine Haynes Allen. She was also preceded in death by fiancée, George Davis; sisters, Rubena Frizsell and Clara Peeler; brother, Thurman Allen. Ozella was a mama, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who had a never ending love for family and friends. She took joy and celebrated them whether near or far, through good times and bad. Never wavering! We are thankful for the glorious gift of her caring love and we will carry her in our hearts! Surviving are her daughters, Karen Lankford, Tara Boyd, Cynthia Wilson and husband Wendell; sons, Todd McMahan and Tony McMahan and wife Robin; sisters, Florence Owenby and Lelia McAbee; brother, Bernard Allen; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. We love you, mama, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend – always and forever! Her funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, April 28, 2017, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Chaplain Dewey Ramsey officiating. Burial will be in Whitaker Cemetery, Barnardsville. The family will receive friends 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., Friday prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
