RUTH E. EMORY WEST ASHEVILLE - Ruth E. Emory, age 90 of West Asheville died Monday, November 30, 2015. Miss Emory was born February 10, 1925 in Buncombe County where she had lived all of her life. She was a daughter of the late Richard Furman and Martha Whittemore Emory. Also preceding her in death are brothers, R.F., Vence, Clyde and Robert Emory; and sister, Katherine Emory. Surviving are her sister-in-law, Shelia Emory along with several cousins. Miss Emory's graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 4, 2015, in Big Ivy Cemetery, Whittemore Branch Rd., Barnardsville, with Reverend Worth Emory officiating.
