SARAH LISA BURLESON WEAVERVILLE - Sarah Lisa Burleson, age 29 of Weaverville died September 29, 2015. Sarah was born July 7, 1986 in Buncombe County where she had lived most of her life. She was a bright and shining light sent by God at her birth. Sarah's identity was wrapped up in motherhood; she loved her children. Sarah attended Mission Virginia, an extension campus of Lee University. She was a charter member of Victory Fellowship. Surviving are her daughter, Feliciti "Daisy" Ashworth; son, Alexander "Xander" Ashworth; mother; Sonia Huntley Burleson; father, Burgie Burleson; sister, Stephanie Brigman; brothers, Samuel Burleson and wife Erin, Saul Burleson and wife Molly; nieces and nephews, Hannah, Hunter, Hope and Hitch Brigman, Eve and Seth Burleson, Andrew Burleson; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Her funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday October 4, 2015, in Weaverville United Methodist Church with Reverend Patrick Ballington officiating. Private burial will be in Hooper's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Saturday at West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville.
