NOTE NEW SERVICE TIMES SHARON MCKINNEY FOWLER ASHEVILLE – Sharon McKinney Fowler, age 54 of Asheville died December 20, 2015. Mrs. Fowler was born June 27, 1961 in Buncombe County to the late William Theodore and Minnie Lee Ward McKinney. She grew up in Marshall and had lived in Buncombe County for over 25 years. Sharon had worked for Mission Hospital for 20 years, was an avid gardener, loved animals and nature. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by brother-in-law, Richard Robinson. Surviving are her husband of 24 years William Marcus Fowler; twin sister, Karen McKinney Robinson; and sisters, Ann McKinney Banks and husband Bruce, Julia Lynn McKinney and Mikie Dillingham, and Elaine McKinney Robinson; mother and father-in-law, Jane B. and Dr. William B. Fowler; sister-in-law, Holly Strauss and husband Andrew; nieces, Amy Hodge, Courtney Davis, Spencer Strauss; nephews, Alex Hodge, Matthew Banks, Stephen Robinson; great niece, Allison Marley. A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday, April 16, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Avenue, Weaverville.
