SHARON ROBINSON LANKFORD WEAVERVILLE - Sharon Robinson Lankford, age 50 of Flat Creek Church Road died Tuesday, September 1, 2015. Mrs. Lankford was born January 17, 1965 in Buncombe County where she had lived all of her life. Sharon was employed as a cook with North Buncombe Elementary School where she loved taking care of all the children. She was preceded in death by her father, J.C. Robinson. Surviving are her husband of 33 years Steve Lankford; daughter, Jennifer Parker and husband Burgin; son, Stevie Lankford and wife Tara; mother Betty Rumbough Dobbins and step-father, Bobby Dobbins; brothers and sisters, Gary Robinson and wife Pat, Kathy Fox and husband Larry, Michael Robinson and girlfriend Candy, Sissy Jones; grandchildren, Colton, Macie and Kelby Lankford, Hunter and Conner Parker; great grandchild, Raylynn Parker; nieces and nephews, Amanda and boyfriend Robbie, Miranda, Michael and wife Sheena, Jaxon, Alivia, Amelia, R.J., Heather, Samantha and husband Anthony, Brooke, Sadie, Carley, Daniel and Charlee. Her funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, September 4, 2015, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Reverends Kenneth Crane and H.B. Bullman officiating. Burial will be in Lankford Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home. Flowers are acceptable and appreciated.
