WEAVERVILLE– Sherri Lynn Boyd England, age 43 of Weaverville went to be with her Heavenly Father in the quietness of her home with her loving family surrounding her on Sunday, October 5, 2008.
Mrs. England was born July 19, 1965 in Buncombe County where she had lived all of her life. Sherri was a Western Carolina Honor Graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, Magna Cum Laude. After surviving her first stroke, she returned to home health nursing where she enjoyed caring for those sick in their home. Sherri was a member of Merrimon Avenue Baptist Church where she was a former teacher and member of the choir. She is preceded in death by her son, Joshua Lee England and father-in-law, Jim England.
Surviving is her husband of 18 years, Jonathan England; parents, Bruce and Ann Hensley Boyd of Asheville; sister, Melissa Burchette and her husband Eddie; mother-in-law, Eva England; sister-in-law, Maria McMahan and husband Eric, brother-in-law; Anthony England all of Weaverville, three nephews, Jeremiah and Daniel Burchette and Bryson McMahan whom she loved and adored and several loving aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday in Merrimon Avenue Baptist Church with the Revs. Jim Russell, Larry Basinger and Todd Alwine officiating. Burial will be in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory with Rev. Clark Henderson officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville where the body will remain until placed in the church at 12:00 noon prior to the services.
At other times, the family will be at the residence.
