Sherrie Centea

WEAVERVILLE – Sherrie Centea, 69, of Weaverville passed away after battling Ovarian Cancer on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family.

Sherrie was born on March 29, 1952 in Akron, OH, the daughter of the late Samuel Giuseppe Trotta and Audrey Lyn Smith Trotta. She has been a resident of Weaverville for over 30 years.

She is survived by her husband, Steve Centea, who she married on September 1, 1973. Sherrie is also survived by her daughter, Andrea Clark and her husband, Jeremy; and three grandsons, Chad, Trent and Seth.

Sherrie and Steve were past members of Weaverville United Methodist Church and served as Youth Group Leaders. They were also avid crafters and enjoyed creating things together. Sherrie enjoyed camping trips with her family. She also very much loved supporting Andrea, Jeremy, Chad, Trent and Seth in their various sporting events through the years. She loved supporting her Blackhawks!

The family will be holding private memorial services.
