Shirley Joeline Ray

BARNARDSVILLE—Shirley Joeline Ray, age 67, of Paint Fork Rd., died Sunday, April 15, 2012. Mrs. Ray was born October 20, 1944, in Buncombe County. She was a former housekeeper with the Brian Center, Weaverville. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Otis Webb, Sr., and Mary Anderson Webb. Surviving are her husband of 28 years, J.C. Ray; daughter, Leah McFarin of Marion Ind.; son, David DeRossett of Marion, Ind.; sister, Betty Fields of Barnardsville; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Her graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM, Friday, April 20, 2012, at West Memorial Park with Rev. Roy Shepherd officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Wednesday, April 18, at West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville. At other times the family will be at the residence.
