ShirleyAnn MiNei Bingham

ShirleyAnn “MiNei” Bingham, age 84, passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2024, in Maryville, TN. ShirleyAnn was born on October 1, 1939, in Panama City, Panama to the late Enrique Broce Llopis and Eva Ernesta Lyma-Young Lewis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Bingham, Jr. who died in 2018; her son, Anthony Bingham; and siblings, Sonny Llopis, Malcolm Llopis, Maria Kapuy and Dalis Rust. 

She was married to the love of her life Bob for 52 years. She loved being a mom and Lita, nurturing and caring for her five children, and doting on and loving her five grandchildren and great granddaughter. She was an amazing cook who enjoyed gathering friends and family for a meal. She loved hula dancing, starting in her early 20's at the Mai Kai and South Pacific in Florida. She had a vibrant personality and smile for those who she met and loved over the years. Her positive outlook was reflected in her big, beautiful smile.

Surviving is her daughter, Danielle Preske (Rich); sons, Jerome B. Fincher, Jr. (Dianne), Neal B. Fincher (Ellen), and Robert B. Bingham, III; sisters, Diana Llopis and Renee Haga; brother, Enrique Llopis, Jr. (Julie); grandchildren, Josh, Megan, Sarah, Grace, and Gianna; and great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and many friends she made over the years.

Her funeral service will be held at 2:30 on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home. The family will receive friends the hour prior to the service, and burial will follow at Clark’s Chapel Cemetery in Weaverville, NC. Donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer's association in lieu of flowers.
