Sylvia Ballard Wilson

WEAVERVILLE – Sylvia Ballard Wilson, age 76, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Solace Hospice Center, surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Wilson was born on August 21, 1946, in Buncombe County.  She graduated from North Buncombe High School in 1964.

She is the daughter of the late Ernest Glenn Ballard and Nettie Mabel Ballard.  Also preceding her in death was a son, Kevin Ernest Wilson, and a sister, Vivian Ballard Chambers.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Coy Wilson; daughter, Shelley Wilson; sisters, Katherine Ballard Wilson and Carolyn Ballard Wilson; and brother, Bruce Ballard.

Graveside services requested by Sylvia will be at West Memorial Park at 2:30pm on Saturday, March 25, 2023, with Rev. Dr. Stuart Lamkin officiating.
