Ted E. Golden

BARNARDSVILLE – Ted E. Golden, age 78, of Barnardsville, died Saturday, August 5, 2017. Mr. Golden was born, August 23, 1938 in Buncombe County, where he had lived all of his life. He was a retired truck driver, farmer and rock mason, a man of many trades. Ted was preceded in death by his parents; Lloyd and Geneva Webb Golden, his wife Marie Ballew Golden who died in 2000 and a grandson Elijah Clinedinst who died in 2016. Surviving are his daughters, Sheila Boone and her husband Jimmy, Vivian Clinedinst and her husband Elwin, Susan Rizzo and her husband Donald; sister, Janet Golden; brother, Dale Golden; eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 8, 2017, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home. Burial will be in West Memorial Park, Weaverville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave. Weaverville. The family will return to his home in Barnardsville following the burial to receive friends as well.
