WEAVERVILLE– Tommy Fisher, age 70 of Weaverville, died Wednesday, August 22, 2018.
Mr. Fisher was born March 7, 1948 in Buncombe County to the late Leonard James and Ella Belle Buckner Fisher; he was a resident of Buncombe County all of his life. Tommy was a graduate of North Buncombe High School, class of 1965. He was a manager of Eckerd and then worked as a merchandiser for the Dr. T.C. Smith Drug Company. He was a member of First Baptist Church Weaverville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Ingle Fisher who died in 2015, and sisters, Ruth Tompkins and Mary Cheek.
Surviving are his sons, Kenneth Fisher and wife Christia of Daytona Beach, FL and Ron “Bam Bam” Fisher of Weaverville; sister, Louise Collins and husband Floyd of Arden; brother, James Fisher and wife Emma Jean of Leicester; and four grandchildren.
His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 27, 2018 in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville. Reverend Mike Thomas will officiate.
Burial will follow in Clark’s Chapel Cemetery, Weaverville.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
