WOODFIN—Tommy E. Solesbee, age 65, of 8 Crestfield Ave., died Thursday, March 14, 2013.
Mr. Solesbee was born May 4, 1947, in Buncombe County. He worked at Sayles Biltmore Bleacheries and the Grove Park Inn. He was a faithful member of Richland Baptist Church. He was a son of the late Thomas Walter and Annie Honeycutt Solesbee.
Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Laurah Fisher Solesbee; daughters, Tammy Rigsby and husband Duane, and Missy Solesbee; son, Bill Solesbee and wife Amy, all of Woodfin; Mike Laster, whom he loved like a brother, and his wife Pam of Weaverville; grandchildren, William Brian Solesbee, II, Peyton Elizabeth Solesbee, and Ethan Lee Rigsby.
His funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Monday, March 18, 2013, in the Richland Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Gassaway and Rev. Ken Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Sunday at West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, where the body will remain until placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
At other times the family will be at the residence.
