TRAVIS JAMES RUDD WEAVERVILLE -Travis James Rudd, age 24, of 26 Oxbow Crossing unexpectedly died on October 1, 2013. Travis was born September 6, 1989 in Buncombe County where he lived all of his life. He was a 2007 graduate of North Buncombe High School and attended A.B. Tech. Travis loved animals, riding motorcycles and being out in nature. Surviving are his parents, Doug and Rhonda Rudd; maternal grandparents, J.B. and Nancy Duncan; aunts and uncles, Carolyn Morgan and husband Tony, Christy Mims, Bruce and Glenda Connolly, and Rex Rudd; numerous cousins; and special friends, Sandra Townsend and her son Josh and Chelsea Blevins. His funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, October 4, 2013, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Minister Sandra Townsend officiating. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home. Flowers are acceptable and appreciated.
