Travis Bryan Shaver

Travis Bryan Shaver, age 42, of Barnardsville, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024.

Mr. Shaver was born on July 23, 1982, in Fayetteville and was a resident of Buncombe County most of his life. He was a stone and brick mason who loved fishing, basketball and soccer. Travis was family oriented, a great dad and had a good sense of humor.

Mr. Shaver was preceded in death by his grandmother, Maxine Earp; and grandfather, William Shaver, Sr.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Jade Shaver; son, Travis Shaver; father, Bill Shaver and wife Diane; mother, Teresa Lynn Calvert and husband David; sister, Stephanie Leigh Shaver; and stepchildren, Jacob and Jessica Motes.

A gathering for Mr. Shaver will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville.

The family will receive friends before the gathering from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at West Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Narcotics Anonymous at Antioch Baptist Church, 9 Antioch Church Road, Weaverville, NC 28787.
