Vera Dean Hensley

HOLLY HILL, SC - Vera Dean Hensley, age 74, died Monday, February 2, 2009. Mrs. Hensley was born August 1, 1934 in Madison County and was a resident of Buncombe County for most of her life. She is a daughter of the late Herbert and Dora Robinson Ray, and the wife of the late James Delmar Hensley who died in 2007. Surviving is her daughter, Patricia F Reece and husband Ronald of Barnardsville; sons, James E. Hensley of Holy Hill, SC, Billy V. Hensley of Harleyville, SC, Randall L. Hensley and wife Glenda of Cross, SC; sister, JoAnn McConnell of Weaverville; brother Bruce Ray of Barnardsville; eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren, Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 5, 2009 in the chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville with the Reverend Boyd Metcalf officiating. Burial will be in the West Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
