Virginia Brooks Johnson

ASHEVILLE – Virginia Brooks Johnson, 91, passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Brooks Howell Home in Asheville.

A native of Lexington, KY, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Brooks and Virginia Kraft Brooks. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James T. Johnson, who passed away in 2013.

Virginia is survived by her four children, Dwain Johnson (Linda), Ginny Painter (Ladd), David Johnson (Sherri) and JT Johnson (Lori); nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

There will be no local services. A memorial service and burial will be held in Arkansas.
