VISTULA EDMONDS ROBINSON
WEAVERVILLE - Vistula Edmonds Robinson, age 93 of Weaverville went to be with her Lord and joined the love of her life, Carl, in heaven Thursday, July 23, 2015.
Mrs. Robinson was born August 17, 1921 in Buncombe County to the late Asker Fulton Edmonds and Minnie Sue Rice Edmonds. She was formerly employed at American Enka, Martel Mills and had retired from Square D Corporation in 1983. Mrs. Robinson was volunteered at the Brian Center bible study and for North Buncombe Samaritan Ministries. She was a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Robinson was preceded in death by her husband Carl M. Robinson, Sr. who died in 2005; son, Richard Robinson; sisters, Sarah Sams, Evie Kent, and Minnie Hensley; brothers, James, William and John Edmonds.
Surviving are her sons, Mark Robinson and wife Jayne, Donald Robinson and wife Linda; grandchildren, Kelly, William, Reagan and Ryan Robinson; great grandchildren, Taylor Robinson and Sean Daugherty.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 26, 2015, in Locust Grove Baptist Church, 305 Locust Grove Rd., Weaverville, with Reverend Ben Whitmire officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Her nephews will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Saturday at West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, where the body will remain until placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
