W. Maurice Brank WEAVERVILLE - W. Maurice Brank, age 92, of 644 Reems Creek Road, died Monday, October 07, 2013. Mr. Brank was born July 31, 1921 in Buncombe County where he lived all of his life. He was a retired dairy farmer and owner of Brank Dairy. He served many years as a board member of the Farm Bureau and Farm Service Agency. He formerly served as an elder at Reems Creek Presbyterian Church. Maurice was the son of the late Willie Lee and Effie Lenora McDaris Brank and preceded in death by his first wife Stella Mae Waldrop Brank. Surviving are his wife, Gilda Morrow Brank; son, Charles Lee Brank and wife Nancy of Weaverville; step daughter, Revonda Morrow and husband Gareth of Raleigh; step son, Tim Morrow of Charlotte; brother, Paul Brank; two grandchildren Tammie Annette Fisher and husband David and Dennis Charles Brank and wife Christy; and three great grandchildren, Justin and Coltan Fisher and Dylan Brank. Five step grandchildren, Chad Morrow and wife Meredith, Seth Morrow, Jessica Morrow, and Madison Morrow, Daniel and David Frink and wife Heather, and four step great grandchildren, Fischer and Harris Morrow, Isabel and Eleanor Frink. His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, October 10, 2013, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave, Weaverville, with Reverend Dr. Billy King officiating. Burial will be in West Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home. At other times the family will be at the home on Reems Creek.
