Wanda Parker Hegwood

MARS HILL—Wanda Parker Hegwood, age 83, of Mars Hill, passed away in her sleep at home with her family, July 30, 2012, nine days after her first husband, Robert Carl Parker, passed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Burrell Hegwood, and son, Chris Parker. Surviving are her sons and their wives, Robert Lee of Florida, Terry of Sevierville, Tenn., and Ronnie of Mars Hill; seven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Private burial will be at Mars Hill Cemetery. West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, is in charge of arrangements.
