WANDA “JANIE” McADOO WEAVERVILLE – Wanda “Janie” McAdoo, age 75, of Weaverville died Friday, July 22, 2016. Mrs. McAdoo was born December 21, 1940, in Roane County, TN. She was a member of Piney Mountain Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Marvin Edward and Nila Lawson Forrester. Surviving are her stepmother, Edna Dick; sons, Larry Cordell and wife Cindy, and Anthony Cordell; sisters, Deborah Bolser, and Ines Goff; grandchildren, Christy Allen and husband Dwayne, Allen Cordell, Megan Walden, Julia Avilia, and Michael Cordell; great grandson, Ethan Allen; and one great granddaughter, Nila, “on the way.” Her memorial funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 31, 2016, in Piney Mountain Baptist Church, 150 Elkins Branch Road, Weaverville, NC 28787, with Reverend Steve Freeman officiating.
