Wauline DeBruhl Riddle

WAULINE DeBRUHL RIDDLE ALEXANDER - Wauline DeBruhl Riddle, age 91, of Alexander, died Friday, October 16, 2015, at her residence. Mrs. Riddle was born July 27, 1924 in Buncombe County where she had lived all of her life and was a member of Alexander Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Walter and Edna Sprinkle DeBruhl and wife of the late Frank Guy Riddle who died in 1977. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Johnnie Smith; and brothers, Byron, Z.V., and Tilson DeBruhl. Surviving are her sons, Rick Riddle and wife Susan of Fletcher, and Randy Riddle of Asheville; sister, Lois Atkins of Weaverville; four grandchildren, Amanda Riddle and husband Jacob Cox, Joseph Riddle and wife Sarah, Frank Riddle and wife Suzy, and Allison Riddle; and special friends, Brenda Walker, Jo Gaddy, and Mike Gregory. Her graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, October 24, 2015, in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory, Asheville, with Reverend Jerry Prickett officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m., Saturday, at West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Avenue, Weaverville.
