Weaverville—William A. "Bill" Eplee, 63 died Friday, September 12. 2008.
Mr. Eplee was born October 3, 1944 in Rutherford County where he lived most of his life and was a resident of Weaverville for the past 20 years. He retired from Dupont and was currently a school bus driver for Buncombe County schools at North Buncombe Elementary. Bill was the son of the late Alfred and Minnie Whiteside Eplee.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Brenda Honeycutt Eplee; sons, William Dwayne Eplee of Brevard, E-8 Master Sgt. Robert Darrell Eplee of the US Army, and stepson, James Jordan of Fletcher; sister, Helen Gilbert of Mill Springs; brother Kenneth Eplee of Bostic; grandson, William Dillon Eplee and step grandson Blaine Cantrell.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, at North Asheville Baptist Church of which he was a faithful member, with Reverend Jim Dykes officiating. Burial will be in West Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville where the body will remain until placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
