William Michael Redmon, Jr.

   PISGAH FOREST – William “Mike” Redmon, Jr., age 44, died Saturday, October 1, 2022, at CarePartners Solace Center. 

   Mike was born October 20, 1977, in Buncombe County.  He graduated Asheville High School in 1995.  Mike retired from his career in the U.S. Marines where he specialized in communications maintenance.  He served in California, did two tours of duty in Iraq, and was a staff sergeant.

   He is survived by his father, William “Mike” Redmon, Sr.; mother, Nancy Swilling Redmon; son, Nickolas Redmon; daughter, Makayla Redmon; girlfriend, Sierra DeLuca; sisters, Michelle Redmon Corkum (John) and Christy Redmon Inscoe (Kevin); uncles, Bill Swilling, Hamp Redmon (Susie) and Steve Redmon (Patty); aunts, Terry Sealey, Patti Redmon and Cindy Redmon; nephews, Christopher Redmon and Connor Inscoe; niece, Ashley Inscoe; and his close friend, Danny Valdes.

   A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 6, 2022, in the Chapel at West Funeral Home with the Reverend Jim Moore officiating.
