Willie Lee Edwards Cody

WEAVERVILLE – Willie Lee Edwards Cody, age 91, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2024, in Danbury, NC.

She was born on February 5, 1933, to the late Garrett and Dorsey Viola Hollifield Edwards in Buncombe County. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, L. G. Cody, Jr. in 2012; son, Larry Cody; brother, Rev. Troy Edwards; and sister, Aline Edwards.

Surviving is her son, Gary Cody and wife, Deborah of Danbury, NC, and many nieces and nephews. 

A graveside burial service was held at 2:30 pm on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, in Longs Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery, Weaverville, NC.
