ASHEVILLE – Theda Mae Boone, age 79, of Asheville, died Monday, November 5, 2018. Mrs. Boone was born March 29, 1939 in Barnardsville to the late Ed and Rosie Lucy Webb Anderson; she was a resident of Buncombe County for most of her life. She worked at Peppertree for several years but her main role in life was being a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James Harry Boone who died in 1997; sister, Patsy Allen; brother, Johnny Allen; sons Tim and Jeff Boone; daughter, Rosemary Boone and grandson Chad Boone. Surviving are her sons, James E. Boone and wife Maeola, and Terry L. Boone; daughter-in-law, Diane Borkowski and husband Stan; sisters, Gertie Reese, Debra Faye Webb, Eva Jay Hensley and Barbara Anderson; brother, James Webb and wife Virgie; grandchildren, Allie Boone and husband David, Adam Boone and wife Brianna, Miranda Tipton and husband Mark, Dalton and Dillon Borkowski, Dakota Borkowski and wife Kailand; seven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; special friends at Asheville Terrace, and lifelong friends, the Andersons and spouses. Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 10, 2018 in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville. Reverend Jerry Webb will officiate. Burial will follow in West Memorial Park, Weaverville. The family will receive friends 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
