Bobby E. Wharton

WEAVERVILLE – Bobby E. Wharton, age 77, of Weaverville, died Sunday, February 14, 2021.

Mr. Wharton was born April 2, 1943 in Pamlico County to the late Willie and Evelyn Banks Wharton. Bobby was a US Navy Veteran and retired from Square D. He was a member of Oak Ridge Missionary Baptist Church.   

Surviving is his wife of 53 years, Penny Preslar Wharton; sons, Mark Wharton and wife Robin of Fort Drum, NY, and Paul Wharton and wife Connie of Asheville; four grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

His graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday February 19, 2021 in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory, 901 Aiken Road, Asheville.
